Refund Policy

Purpose: We understand that plans and life circumstances change. Our aim is to be fair and supportive when these changes lead to a cancellation by providing a refund. However, once a course is full other applicants are placed on a waiting list. Depending on when a refund is requested, those who are on the waiting list may not be able to rearrange their plans or afford ancillary costs such as higher air fare. This can leave us with a course that is only partially full, which represents a financial loss to ANFT. So, our refund policy is based on these considerations.

If you feel you may cancel, but are not sure, we encourage you to find clarity earlier rather than later. This will help you get the maximum refund and help us to fill the course. There will always be other opportunities if a later course works better for you!

All amounts in this policy are in U.S. Dollars.

Refund Policy for Tuition:

60 days prior to event: you may request a full refund

45 days prior to event: You are eligible for a full refund minus a $250 admin fee, which will also be refunded if the course fills. If the course does not fill, we will retain the $250 admin fee.

30 days prior to event: (Forest Therapy Guide Training): Your deposit is not refundable. You will be eligible for a 50% refund of any tuition fees paid. If the course fills, then the balance of your tuition fees will be refunded, less your deposit (if for forest therapy guide training), or $250 admin fee (if for an immersion or other event).

30 days prior to event: (Immersion or other Event): You will be eligible for a 50% refund of any tuition fees paid. If the course fills, then the balance of your tuition fees will be refunded, less a $250 admin fee.

Additional options:

You may request that we apply tuition to another course.

You may donate funds paid to date to our scholarship fund.

Refund Policy for Lodging:

Some venues require that lodging and meal fees are collected by ANFT. When this is the case, that portion of fees you have paid to us will also be withheld until we receive refund from the venue, if any, based on their refund policies, which vary. You may receive a partial refund, or none at all, depending on the venue’s policies. Our hope is that we be fully refunded for your lodging by the venue, and then pass that along to you immediately.

If you pay for lodging and meals directly to the venue, you are subject to their refund polices. In this case, ANFT accepts no responsibility for refunds by the venue for lodging and meals.

ANFT accepts no responsibility for refunding non-tuition costs paid to third parties, such as air fare.
