A 4 day in-person gathering, with 1 or 2 trainers, and people from different cohorts where you will have the opportunity to apply what you learned, experience in-person forest therapy walks and simply connect and share experiences and stories with other guides.
After you complete your 6 month remote Forest Therapy training, you will get a provisional certification for 2 years. Once you attend the 4 day immersion training, you will get the permanent certification.
In this immersion, you will:
Get a hands on experience of what you learned
Get to know trainers personally
Get to know other guides and connect
Learn from shared experiences with other guides
Deepen into the practice
Get the opportunity to ask specific questions that might come up
Once you complete this four-day immersion, your certification will be moved from provisional to permanent. You have two years after you complete the six month core training course to complete an immersion. It will help to give you a sense of the community of guides that has grown and is active throughout the world.
Quantum Leaps Lodge and Retreats is a unique, peaceful, beautiful, scenic, and spiritual riverside retreat and Lodge in the Blaeberry Valley of Golden, BC. The Lodge is on 10 acres of mixed forest. It's situated right on the Blaeberry river and has beautiful views, a big beach area and lots of unique spots to sit. There is mixed forest up by the office and lodges, an alder forest below and then the beach area.

People need to have their own transportation and we can arrange for a shuttle to pick people up from the Calgary International Airport (YYC). it's a three hour trip from Calgary to the lodge.
Once you are approved for the immersion by the ANFT Office, booking of accommodation will be done directly with the Lodge.
There is wifi near the main office and in most of the cabins. They turn it off at 10:30 pm and turn it on at 6:30am. Cell reception is not reliable. People can walk to certain spots near the property and get two bars.

Tuition
The tuition for the four-day immersion is $495. Wait to pay until you are ready to register for a specific immersion. You will have two years from the completion of your core guide training to do the immersion.
This does not include transportation, lodging or camping fees and food for the four-day immersion are the responsibility of the trainee.

Ronna Schneberger has been a professional award winning naturalist, interpreter, and hiking guide in the Canadian Mountain Parks for 25 years. She is a yoga teacher of 20 years and in the last decade incorporated yoga, meditation, and coaching in nature. The results were profound. In her quest to understand why time in nature easily creates powerful experiences, she became a Forest Therapy Guide with the ANFT, one of the first in Canada. Ronna is a trainer and mentor for forest therapy guides. She is faculty with Leadership Development at the Banff Centre where she works with leaders, professionals and executives from all over the world using nature as the teacher to create powerful reflections and transformation. She is the Chair of the ANFT Canadian Council, along with her team; she looks forward to promoting Forest Therapy in Canada.
Stana has been working for the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) for over twenty years as the Senior Conservation Educator. Inspired by Earth Education, the Coyote’s Guide to Nature Connection and Forest schools, she aims to connect people with their head, heart and hands to nature. Through the CRCA, Stana brings Forest Therapy walk experiences to the community, private and public organizations and continues to pilot Forest Therapy to elementary and secondary school aged children and youth. The CRCA was the first conservation authority in Ontario to offer Forest Therapy which is now rapidly spreading to other CAs. Stana received her BA from the University of Waterloo in 1998, in the Applied Studies Co-op program with Honours History. She earned her Bachelor of Education at Queen’s in 1999 from the Specialized Outdoor and Experiential Education Program. Her work related to Forest Therapy continues to open her heart and deepen her relationship with all beings.
