July Session: One Opening Left - Intensive: July 14-21 2017 Practicum Completion January 21, 2018
News January 5, 2017: We are pleased to report that Onlyinyourstate.com ranked Ramblewild no. 1 among the 18 Massachusetts locations one should visit in 2017!
The Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts are a highly prized destination for people who love gentle mountain topography covered by lush mixed hardwood and conifer forests among farms and small towns and villages. This is a truly special region, home to many cultural attractions, tourist destinations, and wonderful forest environments.
We are partnering with Feronia Forests LLC to bring you our acclaimed Forest Therapy Guide Training and Certification Program at their RambleWild Adventure Park campus and at nearby trails, forests, and arboretums. Feronia Forests is a sustainable forests initiative that is pioneering the use of Forest Therapy as a strategy to preserve and protect forests while managing them in an economically feasible way.
Tuition for the six-month Guide Training and Certification Program is $3210 USD. This includes the week-long intensive training and six months of mentored practicum. It does not include travel, lodging, ground transportation, or meals.
Lodging and Camping Options (for the June Training; July details coming soon)
Participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation. There are many options for lodging and camping, such as Vacation Village in the Berkshires, just a half mile away from the main training site. Lodging is NOT included in the tuition. Some options are listed below and there are many other hotels, motels, B&B and other options in the area.
Privacy Campground is nearby and has been favorably reviewed byparticipants in our prior trainings. It's likely that at least several people from your training cohort will be staying there. Pond, flush toilets, showers, electricity from the campground's own hydroelectric system, and great staff. This option provides a good mix of affordability and amenities.
Berkshire Village Inn is typical of the many small motels in the area. It is conveniently located just five minutes drive from RambleWild. We've had good luck staying there. The staff are very friendly.
